GOVERNOR UDOM COMMISSIONS 1 X 60MVA TRASNFORMER IN UYO

The Managing Director of Ibom Power Company Limited and the Special Assistant (SA) on Power to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Engr. Meyen Etukudo has said the recently commissioned 1 x 60MVA, 132/33kV transmission substation at Afaha Ube will increase power output in Uyo, Ikot Ekpene and other Local Government Areas in the State.

He spoke after the Governor commissioned the 1 x 60MVA, 132/33kV transformer which has increased the voltage capacity of the station to 180MVA capable of distributing 144megawatts of electricity.

The project is a collaboration between Akwa Ibom State Government and Transmission Company of Nigeria as part the Federal Government’s incremental power policy.
